New York Latin Fashion Week Descends on New York City with much Sizzle and Sass. Thank You New Yo

New York Latin Fashion Week (NYLatinFW) is part of the Latin Fashion Week family. A Luxury Fashion Platform with A Cause commanded Attention this past week as it was filled with four days of art, celebration, fashion, art, beauty, music, sizzle and sass. The recent couture creations of five brilliant designers from Latin America and around the world each with a their own fashion etiquette were infatuated by fashionistas, bloggers and press, joining Luzs Foundation to create awareness to see the end of human trafficking. Jaer Cabán, Designer from Puerto Rico gave a glimpse of his collection "Antillean Noveau" displaying new and innovative ready to wear laser cut pieces using form fitting contours that made you feel the caribbean breeze as the models walked amongst the guests.


Puerto Rican Designer, Pipo Pere who has political recognition throughout the Caribbean has graced the NYLatinFW runways with his teen neoprene designs of colorful avant-garde style in his collection "Opposites Attract".


Venenuelan designer Elys Berroteran and producer of Caracas Moda, give New York Latin Fashion week the honor to show case his very first fashion collection hand painted, from the artist which make every piece unique. In honor of his lovely Venezuela Elys present a dress made of MasaPan.


It is a major accomplishment to the Luzs foundation who came together to provide a voice to create an unprecedented event to fight Human Trafficking and Sexual Slavery of women and underage girls. kids of all ages wearing white t-shirts with the words Say NO to Human Trafficking walked the runway with Sobeidy holding white balloons, it was remembered as a beautiful site.

The mood was set as The Midtown Loft & Terrace and VIP roof top hosted the amazing "Night of The Stars" celebrities like Mexico's Next Top Model, Judge Jo Lance was there to support the designers in their presentations.


Ecuadorian Designer, Johnny Calderon, lavished the runway with his glamorous evening collection with magnificent fabrics of silk, chiffon, organza and lace interwoven with spandex.


Dominican Designer Jose Luis Victoria concluded the evening with his outrageous yet simplistic designs using and array of fabrics that were both dramatic and futuristic.


Jose Luis Victoria collection highlighted the participation of Miss Universe Dominican Republic Clarissa Molina who honored the designer by wearing a magnificent signature piece down the runway.
